Die erste LP des Albums ist eher etwas hartgesotten, wohongegen die zweite Scheibe einige Balladen und fast einen ganz anderen Stil beinhaltet. Absolute Spitzensongs sind auf jeden Fall: "Kasmhir, In my Time of Dying, The Rover, Custard Pie(von Mother Finest irgendwann gecovert), alle auf erster LP. Dieses Doppel-Album ist ein Muß! Wer zum ersten Mal Led Zeppelin hört, kann auf diesem Album die ganze genialität der Band erleben. Nicht zuletzt enthält die erte LP den Kult-Song "Kashmir", den wohl fast jeder kennt. Merkwürdiger Weise enthält das Album auch den Song, "Houses of the Holy", obwohl das gleichnamige Album einen Titelsong mit diesem Namen nicht enthält.
