I bought me a MARANTZ 6000 OSE over ebay a while ago and this is what I can tell you about it:
I was thinking of buing a CD80. but a while ago I bought me a brand new PM8000 in Gold (wich is a SUPERB AMP!) and I got the CD6000 in the same color.
But the CD6000 OSE isn´t all that good unfortunatly.
The sound of the CD 6000 is OK, but the depth and width of the stereo image is not very impressive.
The older series are better I think. I compared it with a CD 52 SE wich I still have.
And It does not really beat the player, (although the 52 was a lower class).
Also, what bugs me: It does not play al my CDR´s, the 52 does, altough the CD6000 should play them. I know the marantz players over the years and I think the older series are better much better.
